The London Podiatry Centre recommends the Asics Resolution tennis shoe

At this time of year, we always see an increase in tennis-related injuries. Some patients make the mistake of playing tennis in "general" or running trainers. The Centre does not recommend this type of footwear, as it is designed for forward rather than side-to-side motion.

In our on-site biomechanical laboratory, we have consistently found the Asics Resolution to be a good performer with excellent stability and good control of abnormal pronation (excessive arch collapse). Patient feedback from this shoe is usually excellent and the shoe is particularly hard-wearing with good longevity. An alternative stable trainer is the K-Swiss Stabilor.
