Neuroma (trapped nerve)
A neuroma is a trapped thickened nerve which forms between the lesser toes. The most common location for a neuroma is between the 3rd and 4th digits. Symptoms include sharp shooting pains and a clicking sensation. This condition is routinely treated at the Centre and in some instances will respond to conservative, non-surgical treatment. Where surgery is required, sophisticated techniques are utilised to allow for rapid recovery.
The London Podiatry Centre can now treat some neuromas using advanced cryosurgery.
