Corn removal

Many patients attend the centre requesting that their corns be removed permanently. Corns can routinely be removed by chiropodists with immediate relief but they then often recur because the underlying mechanical problem has not been addressed. Often there is deformity of the toes leading to shoe pressure and in this instance the only effective way of resolving the problem is through surgery.

Rather than just simply excising the corn, the centre will perform refined surgical techniques to remove the lesion permanently whilst also addressing any mal-alignment. Surgery is generally performed under local anaesthetic and the patient is able to go home immediately after their operation.

Callous
